Electric Guitar nuts serve several purposes. Among these are setting the string height and spacing, but they can also affect intonation and tone (especially when made incorrectly). Lastly, there are locking nuts that are common on guitars with double locking tremolos. We are familiar with all forms of nuts (we are nuts ourselves after all).
Whether you need a new nut on your guitar/bass, or just need your current nut worked on we can and will get you taken care of.
There are all manner of issues you may have with your guitar nut. String slots that are to high cause the strings to be difficult to finger and the strings to sound sharp when played. String slots that are too low allow the strings to buzz against the first fret. String slots that are to narrow bind the string making it difficult to tune. String spacing is vital if not even across the nut, causes playability to be uncomfortable. String grooves not ramped correctly, causing nut buzz or other tonal issues (overtones like a sitar). Nuts that have come loose, the list goes on and on. Regardless of the trouble, we know how to take care of it.
