FAQ
Answer: No, you do not. We do allow walk-in drop offs.
Answer: We are generally booked out a month and half in advance for appointments.
Answer: We do have an expedience fee of $300 which is added to the repair cost for work to be
completed on the same day if it’s an emergency. This fee is non-negotiable.
Answer: Typical turn-around for work to be completed is 2-3 weeks. This is a difficult time to
establish as there are a lot of factors that go into getting repair work done. Sometimes a simple
set-up (that takes about an hour to do) can become a full Level Crown and Polish job (typically a 4–5-hour job). While we try to get work done as fast as possible, we do the work right, which can take more time than initially thought. You are always welcome to call for a status update.
Answer: Appointments made are typically completed the same day. We will discuss all the work
to be done on drop off.
Answer: We can usually accommodate up to 3-5 instruments for a single appointment. It just depends on what work is being done on each instrument.
Answer: We are not typically open though we do allow appointments to be made for a Saturday.
Answer: No, we are usually 2-3 weeks out on all walk-in work and a month and a half on appointments year-round.
Answer: While we always strive to make our customers happy, we do have a policy that is as
follows. In the event we cannot get the job you want done correctly all you have to do is take
your instrument to a different luthier shop and have them fix it to your satisfaction. Have them
write out a detailed account of work performed, and a receipt then bring the instrument and the
written statement/receipt back to me. If the work is comparable to the work, we performed but is
satisfactory to you we will not only pay you back what we charged you for the work we will also
pay you what the other repair company charged you. We are not above paying for a learning
experience.
